Copyright Registration
Single Item Registration – 10/25 Year Registration Period £28-£38: This service allows you to register the Copyright on one piece of work which will be registered for either a 10 or 25 year registration period.
Ten Item Copyright Registration Subscription – 10/25 Year Registration Period £50-£60: You can save money by buying a one year Copyright Registration subscription. This will enable you to register the copyright on ten items which will be registered for either a 10 or 25 year registration period. This service can also be used to register further drafts of previously registered items.
Unlimited Items Copyright Registration Subscription – 25 Year Registration Period £75: New for 2024! The Script Vault is pleased to offer an ‘Unlimited Items Registration Subscription’. This means you can register as many items as you want within a twelve month period. In addition, each item will be Copyright Registered for 25 years. This service can also be used to register further drafts of previously registered items.
Register an Updated Item – 10/25 Year Registration Period £14: You can register a further draft of a previously registered item for 50% of the current price. Your original registration will continue as before, your new registration will last for 10 years. N.B. If your original item was registered for 25 years, the registration period of the new draft will be upgraded to 25 years.

You can register virtually any type of creative work at The Script Vault, including scripts, plays, synopses/outlines, pitches, log lines, TV series bibles, books, poems, songs/song lyrics, logos, manuals, databases, diagrams, sketches and paintings, audio recordings etc. You can also register further drafts/newer versions of your work, which will maintain the original registration and create a new registration for the update.
When you have registered your copyright and uploaded your work to us you will receive confirmation and a Copyright Registration number by email within a few minutes. At the end of the registration period you will be given the option to renew the registration; we offer all existing clients a discount on renewals.
Script Reading
Writers normally only get one shot at interesting a company or producer with a script so it’s essential the script is as good as it can possibly be. Our script reading and appraisal service aims to match up writers with people from the industry whose comments and advice will guide the writer to produce a better rewrite. Our script readers are either university/college lecturers or professional writers with numerous writing credits and/or qualifications. Several of our readers also read scripts for TV companies and theatres.
NEW! When you purchase one of our script reading services we now include a 10 year Copyright Registration of the submitted script completely free of charge.
Script Reading and Appraisal – up to 125 pages: £75: This service is our most popular and is suitable for full-length stage/radio plays, screenplays or episodes of TV series/serials.
Short Script Reading and Appraisal – up to 30 pages: £48: This service is suitable for short screenplays, stage/radio plays, TV sitcom episodes and TV soap episodes.
In-depth Script Reading and Appraisal – up to 125 pages: £110: Our in-depth service is suitable for those who require greater coverage. The reader will analyse the script scene by scene and the report will usually be around six pages in length. If you’d like the in-depth service please email us using the ‘Contact Us’ link below after submitting your script with brief details of any specific appraisal requirements.
The length of the reader’s report will usually be 2-3 pages for a short script and 3-4 pages for a full length script. If you have selected our ‘in-depth’ service a report will usually be approximately 6 pages. We aim to send out appraisal reports within 4 weeks. If you wish to have feedback on a short synopsis or pitch for your script please email us with the length of the document and we will quote you a price.
